A.K.G. Memorial Co-operative College of Nursing was established in 2008, in memory of the veteran leader Sri. A.K. Gopalan (AKG).
It is managed by the Kannur Co-operative Hospital Society Ltd. (No. C-834), which runs several healthcare institutions in the region.
The college is situated at Mavilayi, Kannur, Kerala, in a calm hilly location about 10 km west of Kannur city, providing a serene environment for learning.
