About All India Institute Of Ayurveda,Pernem Pernem, Goa

The All India Institute of Ayurveda, Goa (AIIA Goa) is a satellite institute of the AIIA in New Delhi, established by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, in December 2022. It is located in Dhargal village, Pernem Taluka, North Goa, on a ~50‑acre campus.
The institute aims to blend traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with modern tools and technology. Its objectives include offering undergraduate (BAMS) courses (100 seats from the 2023‑24 academic session) and postgraduate programs, undertaking research in Ayurvedic principles, drug standardization, quality control, safety, and scientific validation. 
It features a 250‑bed hospital, with well‑equipped OPD and IPD facilities, modern diagnostic equipment, specialty departments (such as Panchakarma), and amenities like hostels, academic blocks, a dietary centre, herbal gardens, and other infrastructure built to support clinical care, research, and education.
There is also a reservation policy: for PG seats, 50% are set aside for Goan students; similarly, for undergraduate seats, some quota is reserved for locals.
