About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar Deoghar, Jharkhand

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Deoghar (AIIMS Deoghar) is a recently established, government-run medical institute situated in Deoghar district, Jharkhand. It was created under the umbrella of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, with the aim of providing high-quality tertiary medical education and healthcare services in underserved regions of the country.
Spread over approximately 236.92 acres, the campus offers modern infrastructure including Wi-Fi enabled and centrally-air-conditioned academic blocks, hostel and residential facilities, a teaching hospital, and various student amenities. The institute commenced its academic operations in 2019, offering the MBBS programme (with an intake of 125 seats) and B.Sc. (Nursing) among other courses. The associated hospital has been progressively expanding its capacity and services; the aim is to eventually operate with a 750-bed structure including advanced clinical departments. 
In sum, AIIMS Deoghar represents a major investment in medical education and healthcare infrastructure in eastern India, offering students access to an institute of national importance while simultaneously delivering improved medical services to the local and regional population.
