Apex Professional University (APU) is a statutory university established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh vide Act 07 of 2013 and recognised by the UGC, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi u/s 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956, as a State Private University. Apex Professional University is empowered to award degrees specified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The university is offering UG and PG programs in the areas of law & forensic sciences, education & liberal arts, management & technology, pharmacy, nursing & paramedical sciences, naturopathy & yogic science, architecture and planning. The Ph.D., D.Sc. and D.Litt. programs are offered in selected disciplines. The university has approval from various statutory regulatory bodies (BCI, CoA, NCTE, PCI, and APNC) for programs in respective disciplines.
The APU Campuses located at Pasighat, East Siang, near the Assam – Arunachal Pradesh border, are spread over 20+ acres in a picturesque valley surrounded by green hills blessed with nature’s finest gifts on the banks of the river Siang. The university buildings have architecturally distinctive and Vastu-compliant infrastructure, creating an environment conducive to higher learning, research and self-transformation.
