The two remarkable personalities and philanthropists Mr.D.Manjunath, the Ex – Minister for education, Govt. of Karnataka and Mr. H. Hanumanthappa, the former M.P. and central Silk Board Chairman, with unparallel pioneering spirit started Bapuji Education Society for the rural backward and depressed class, through this a renaissance that took place in the area, years ago it has become a legacy for others to imbibe. They assiduously nurtured and set it to grow from strength to strength, their foresight vision, single minded devotion built up a great institutional complex and help the institution grow to its present stature. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore. Recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine(CCIM) & Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
The college building includes a spacious and well-equipped library, anatomy dissection theater, physiology lab, staff-rooms, and conference, exam hall & lecture halls. The institution has facilities for education through computers, multimedia and the Internet, which will ensure high-quality and up-to-date education in ayurveda.
