Bharteeya Sanskrit Prabodhini’s Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Research Centre (GAMRC), Shiroda (Ponda), Goa, is a private Ayurvedic college founded in 1993 by the Bharteeya Sanskrit Prabodhini society, which itself was established in 1992 with the aim of preserving and promoting ancient Indian learning, culture, and traditional health sciences.
The college is affiliated with Goa University and is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), formerly under CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine).It offers the undergraduate BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) degree, with 60 seats for the UG course. Postgraduate programs are also available in certain specialities like Kayachikitsa; Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, etc.
GAMRC is located in a scenic, green setting in Vazem‑Shiroda, about 10 km from Ponda, Goa. The campus includes all 14 Ayurvedic departments, a hospital (Kamakshi Arogya Dham) with approx 100 beds for clinical training, well‑equipped labs (including Sharir Kriya / Physiology, Dravyaguna, Pharmacology, etc.), dissection hall, facilities for Panchakarma, herbal gardens, pharmacy unit, and teaching aids. The medium of instruction is English.
