About Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University Dhanbad, Jharkhand

Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University (BBMKU) is a public state university located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Established in 2017, the university was created by the Jharkhand government to serve the higher education needs of the Koyalanchal region. 
BBMKU has a broad academic footprint: it oversees 13 constituent colleges and 23 affiliated colleges across Dhanbad and Bokaro districts, spanning disciplines like arts, science, commerce, education, law, nursing, pharmacy, and medicine.  The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs through its 28+ postgraduate departments.
With over 30,000 students enrolled annually and more than 200 research scholars, BBMKU emphasizes both teaching and research.The university is recognized by the UGC, and accredited by NAAC.
