The first and foremost objective of the Nursing Council is to maintain uniform standard of Nursing Education by developing curriculum of different level of Nursing Education, supervision of the activities of Nursing Training Institutions and by conducting the examinations.
The Council is also responsible for licensing and supervision of the Nurses, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, Female Health Workers, Lady Health Visitor/Health Supervisor practicing within the area under its jurisdiction.
