The College of Nursing at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur (SGTB) Hospital, affiliated with Government Medical College (GMC) Amritsar, was established in 2002. This institution is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and offers undergraduate nursing programs, including the B.Sc. Nursing course.
GMC Amritsar itself has a rich history. It was originally established as a medical school in Lahore in 1864 and was later relocated to Amritsar in 1920. The college was upgraded to a full-fledged medical college in 1943.
