The Combined (P.G.) Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (CIMS&R) is operated by the J.J. Educational Institute, an educational society registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act of 1860. This self-financing institution is located at Haridwar Road, P.O. CIMS&R is affiliated with the respected Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University. It holds necessary approvals from the Government of Uttarakhand, the Nursing Council of India (New Delhi), and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. The institute has emerged as a center of excellence for Paramedical and Nursing education in North India. Notably, CIMS&R was the first institute in Uttarakhand recognized by the Indian Nursing Council to offer both B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing programs.
The current institute campus occupies an area of 15,000 square meters on the National Highway at Haridwar Road, approximately 10 kilometers from Dehradun's Clock Tower.
