Dayanand Ayurvedic College & Hospital, located on Mahatma Hans Raj Marg, G.T. Road in Jalandhar (Punjab), is one of the longstanding institutions in the field of Ayurveda education.
Founded originally in 1898 by the DAV College Managing Committee in Lahore, it was relocated post-partition and later established at Jalandhar in 1953.The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, and offers the flagship BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) programme.
The attached hospital facility is a 150-bed (or more) Ayurvedic teaching hospital that runs multi-specialty Ayurvedic clinics, offering OPD and IPD services across departments such as Kayachikitsa (general medicine), Shalya (surgery), Shalakya (ENT/ophthalmology), Stri-Prasuti (gynaecology & obstetrics), Kaumarbhritya (paediatrics) and the Panchakarma unit.
Infrastructure-wise, the campus features separate hostels (e.g., girls' hostel capacity around 140) and boys’ hostel, a well-stocked library (over 12,000 books on Ayurveda and modern medicine) and a herbal garden with medicinal plants, laboratories, cafeteria, sports and guest-house facilities.
