Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), formerly the University of Indore, is a premier State University located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, established in 1964 by an act of the state legislature. Named after the 18th-century Maratha Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar, DAVV is the first State University in Madhya Pradesh to be accredited with an 'A+' Grade by NAAC. The university is a major educational hub in Central India, catering to a vast student population through its numerous affiliated colleges and its own teaching departments spread across two main campuses: the Nalanda Parisar (administrative) and the Takshashila Parisar (academic).

DAVV is known for its wide spectrum of academic offerings across various disciplines, including Engineering, Management, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Social Sciences, and Law. The university offers a multitude of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programs, such as B.E./B.Tech., MBA, M.Sc., B.Pharma, M.Tech., and Ph.D. Its performance is often highlighted in national assessments, with the university consistently securing a rank within the NIRF University category. The extensive infrastructure includes a centralized Library with a vast collection of books and e-resources, separate hostels for boys and girls, a sports complex, and an IT Centre that manages the campus-wide network.
