Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda (often called Tanda Medical College) is a government medical institution located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.  It was established in 1996, with the first MBBS batch admitted in 1999.  The college is affiliated with Atal Medical & Research University, recognized by the National Medical Commission, and offers both undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses. The MBBS intake is 120 seats per year.  It has a sizable teaching hospital with over 500‑600 beds, modern diagnostic and clinical facilities including emergency, trauma, eye & blood bank services, and advanced equipment like a 1.5 Tesla MRI, CT scan etc. The campus includes amenities like separate hostels for boys and girls, a large air‐conditioned central library with reading areas, auditoriums, spacious lecture and demonstration halls, and sports facilities.  Over time, the institution has grown significantly in infrastructure and postgraduate capacity, serving as a major healthcare and education hub for Kangra region and beyond.
