The ESIC College of Nursing,Indiranagar, Bengaluru, under the ambit of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India,was established in the month of June, 2013 as per the ESIC Act 59 B which states – The Corporation may establish medical colleges, nursing colleges and training institutes for its paramedical staff and other employees with a view to improve the quality of services provided under the Employees’s State Insurance. On 4th February, 2011, Friday, then Union Labour and Employment Minister Shri. Mallikarjun Kharge, laid the foundation stone of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Nursing College and Auditorium. On 16th May, 2017, it was inaugurated officially by then Union Minister for Labour and Employment Shri Bandaru Dattatreya.
