The Government College of Nursing, T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha, was established on December 4, 2006, as part of the T.D. Medical College campus in Vandanam, Alappuzha, Kerala. It began its first B.Sc. Nursing batch in January 2007 with 60 students. Initially affiliated with the University of Kerala, the college has been affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur, since 2010. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC)
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs, including B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing with specializations in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing.
