About Government College of Nursing, Thiruvananthapuram Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Government College of Nursing Thiruvananthapuram is the pioneer institution of Nursing Education in Kerala, which prepares different levels of professionals who are equipped to face all challenges in the profession of nursing. This is the first institution in the state to start BSc Nursing and MSc Nursing and is a PhD study centre for Indian Nursing Council and University of Kerala. The college caters to General nursing and midwifery students, Post Basic diploma students in different specialties, graduates and post graduates in Nursing, who are now successful professionals in all parts of globe, bringing glory to their Alma Mater. To achieve this, the institution believes that a good understanding of basic scientific principles in nursing, principles of communication, inter personal relationship, learning, teaching and research are essential as nursing is a profession influenced by scientific and technological advancements to serve the people, be it in the hospital or community.
