About Government Medical College, Doda Doda, Jammu and Kashmir

Government Medical College, Doda was established in 2020 to improve medical education and healthcare services in the Chenab Valley region of Jammu & Kashmir.  It is a government‑run medical college with affiliation to the University of Jammu and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). 
The college offers the MBBS degree with an intake capacity of about 100 students per year.  The admission is via the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET‑UG), with 15% of the seats under All‑India Quota and the rest under the Jammu & Kashmir state quota. 
Campus infrastructure includes basic facilities like lecture halls, well‑ventilated classrooms, labs, a library, and a teaching hospital.  The attached hospital serves as a tertiary care center for the region, handling a variety of specialties and providing students with practical clinical exposure. 
As a relatively new institution, some facilities (hostels, advanced amenities) are still developing, but the college is playing a key role in improving healthcare access and medical training in a remote area.
