Government Medical College, Udhampur is a government‑run medical institution established in 2023 in the Udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir.Affiliated with the University of Jammu and recognized by the National Medical Commission, the college was created to improve accessibility of medical education and strengthen healthcare services in the region. It offers the MBBS program with an intake of 100 seats annually, selected through the NEET‑UG examination. The attached hospital is a 300‑bed facility, providing 24×7 emergency services and ambulance support, and serves as a tertiary referral centre for Udhampur district. As a new institution, its infrastructure and faculty are still in development, but it aims to follow NMC norms and expand both clinical exposure and academic facilities.
