It dates back to 1992 when the chairman thought of an idea to start a dental college for the students of Himachal Pradesh, the state of gods and goddesses.
After various hiccups the college finally took of in 1994. The Himachal Dental College started under the aegis of Sh. Gian Chand Dharamvir Charitable Trust in the year 1994 under the dynamic leadership of chairman of the trust.
In its constant endevour of reaching excellence, the college got a permanent recognition in the year 2000 & holds the distinction of being the first dental college in state of Himachal Pradesh.This college is duly recognized by DCI, Govt. of India, Govt. of H.P & H.P University Shimla.Himachal Dental College (HDC) is a prominent private, self-financing institution located in the picturesque town of Sunder Nagar in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
