About Immanuel Arasar Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu

Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, began in India over 3,000 years ago. Its name means "knowledge of life" (Ayu for life, Veda for knowledge).

The central idea is that disease results from an imbalance in a person's awareness. Ayurveda seeks to restore this balance in the body, mind, spirit, and environment using lifestyle changes and natural therapies.

Treatment typically starts with an internal cleansing, followed by a specific diet, herbal medicine, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation. The main principles of Ayurveda are universal connection, a person's unique constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas).

The primary goals are to eliminate impurities, lessen symptoms, and boost the body's resistance to illness. The treatment also aims to reduce worry and bring more harmony to a person's life. Herbs, plants, oils, and spices are key components of Ayurvedic remedies.

The Immanuel Arasar Ayurveda Hospital, established in 2017, is part of a 7-acre campus in Nattalam, Marthandam, Kanyakumari district. Our facilities include specialized inpatient (IPD) and outpatient (OPD) services, a clinical laboratory, a dispensary, and a modern Ayurveda pharmacy. Located on the slopes of the Western Ghats, the campus provides a holistic learning environment with a herbal garden, an auditorium, a dissection hall, and separate furnished hostels for boys and girls. The natural surroundings, rich with medicinal plants, enhance the atmosphere.

Affiliated with The TN.Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai, our institution is committed to promoting Ayurveda by educating and training qualified, expert doctors dedicated to serving humanity.
