Institute of Nursing Education, SME,Chuttippara, Pathanamthitta, , a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education was incepted in 2004 with a view to create nursing professionals competent in providing comprehensive nursing care based on scientific principles so as to meet the escalating medi-care needs of the country
Education has to be the solid base on which India should build its socio- political and economic edifice. Without adequate opportunities for professional education the ambitions and talents of many students were nipped in the bud. Keeping this view, Institute of Nursing Education, School of Medical Education, Chuttipara Pathanamthitta was inaugurated on 29/10/2004 by Shri. OommenChandy, the then chief Minister of Kerala and first batch was admitted in 2004 itself.
The college is equipped with the most modern facilities and exceptional infrastructure, needed for sound education and practice in the nursing profession. Highly qualified faculty handle the theory classes in Pre-clinical subjects and the students utilize the full fledged laboratories for their practical learning.
The clinical experience needed for students is offered at General HospitalPathanamthitta,Mental Health Centre Thiruvananthapuram,Women& Child Hospital Alappuzha, District Hospital Kozhencherry and Government Medical College Hospital Vandanam, Community Health CentreElanthoor and Konni, Urban Health Unit Kumbazha and Primary Health centres Omalloor and Mallapuzhassery
