JMJ Morning College of nursing is a women CHRISTIAN MINORITY institute managed by the Soc of Jesus Mary Joseph to educate the young underprivileged and marginalized girls from remote villages in Chhattisgarh, C.G. 2016 was an mile stone for MORNING STAR CONVENT & JMJ MORNING STAR HOSPITAL. The society began its mission of caring for the sick & suffering specially women in 1968 in Raigarh (CG) with three Zealous missionaries in the unknown land. The place then, where no one dare to come, but often visited by the wild animals. Started from a hut now the campus has Convent for the sisters, multispecialty hospital with 150 beds, College of Nursing and hostel.  As I walk around the college every day, I can hear the chatter of the birds.Breath in the aroma of the nature, experience very peaceful atmosphere with verities of plants and flowers, see the young girls once were so timid now bubbling with life, dreaming to be someone in life, waiting to be a support for the family.  We are a college with a difference! We value individualism, creativity, innovation and all-round development and strive to nurture them in our students. Our motto “blending the knowledge with compassionate care” is at the heart of everything we do at the college. We aim at imparting knowledge to the students, with much concern to inculcate in them – wisdom, compassion and a humanitarian spirit, giving much importance to culture. Self discipline, values and punctuality are the very hallmark of this institute. Focusing onbringing out the best in the students the college encourages the students to participate in co-curricular activities and make them self-confident individual. “God always leads us where we need to be, Not where we want to be” Everything has its own time.

Hostel
Hostel facilities are provided for students in the college campus. It has adequate high security and good discipline. Each room has an attached bathroom. The students who are not staying with the parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules.

Community Lab
The lab is well equipped with all furniture & equipments to facilitate students learning. It has adequate AV aids for health education like, Puppets, Charts, Models, Flash Cards, Flannel graph. Each student is provided with fully equipped Community Health bags for facilitating Community activities.

Nutrition
It has got LPG connections, hand washing facilities, storage facility for dry ration, refrigerator for storing perishables. Pressure cookers, Mixie & Microwave oven facilitate cooking demonstrations, dining area facilitate students to learn serving etiquette & how to make food presentation & serving in an attractive way.

Pre Clinical
It is well-equipped with models & specimens, all the bones, skeleton & subject related charts etc. The students are encouraged to use our Anatomy lab to learn Anatomy of bone & joints & other systems.

OBG
Students are trained in Advanced procedures and skills related to the specialty. This lab consists of cot with mattress, charts, mannequins, delivery model, instruments & articles necessary for midwifery procedure demonstration.

Pediatric
Our Nursing College is equipped with the pediatric mannequins and an adequate number of articles to demonstrate the procedures to the students related to child health care. It helps to develop competency and skill in carrying out and assisting various pediatric procedures.

Computer Lab
JMJ Morning Star College of Nursing has a fully equipped computer laboratory with multimedia, internet facilities. Students are encouraged to utilize it to maximum.
