KMCT Group of Technical Institutions was established in the year 2001 by Dr. K. Moidu, a leading medical practitioner. The KMCT College of Engineering was set up in 2001 at Kallanthode, Calicut, followed by a school of business, an engineering college for women, a college of architecture, a polytechnic college, a college of pharmacy, a college of teacher education, a teacher’s training institute, a college of nursing, and an arts and science college.The group is currently headed by the Management Trustee, Dr KM Mehboob, a leading neurologist based in Calicut.
The Kallanthode campus is eco-friendly campus, located approximately 25 Km away from Kozhikode City in Kerala. The second campus is located at Pooladikkunnu, close to the Corporate office. KMCT is in the process of setting up a second arts and science college at Manakadavu, Calicut.
