Whether undergraduate, postgraduate or professional courses (e.g. B.Pharm / M.Pharm, MBA, Mass Communication, etc.), the university aims to cater to the educational needs of students from the entire Kumaun region and beyond.
Besides academics, the university invests in research, culture and community — for example, its Department of History runs a unique regional museum (established in 1987) that preserves local history, archaeology, folk-culture and heritage of Uttarakhand.Over the years, Kumaun University has built infrastructure like hostels (for both boys and girls), a central library, labs, and facilities for extracurricular, cultural and environmental activities — combining academic education with holistic development.
