Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College & Hospital, located in Kumarhatti‑Solan, Himachal Pradesh, is a private self‑financing medical college established in 2013‑14 as a constituent college of Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan. It was the first private medical college in Himachal Pradesh and has 150 MBBS seats, which is the highest number of MBBS seats in any medical college in the state. The institution is attached to a 720‑bed super‑specialty hospital offering a wide range of departments and facilities (for example General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Radiology etc.), modern diagnostic equipment, ICUs, emergency services etc. The campus spans about 47 acres, and the infrastructure includes lecture theatres, well‑equipped labs, an air‑conditioned central library, hostel facilities, and allied health sciences courses in addition to MBBS and PG (MD/MS) programmes. It is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), follows NEET‑UG/NEET‑PG admission protocols, and is positioned to serve both academic and healthcare needs of the region.
