Narasaraopeta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NIPS), founded in 2007 under the auspices of the Gayathri Educational Development Society (GEDS), is a private pharmacy college located about 2 km from Narasaraopet town in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. NIPS is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUK) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and AICTE. The college offers a variety of programs in pharmaceutical sciences, including B.Pharm, several specialisations of M.Pharm (e.g. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance, Industrial Pharmacy), and Pharm.D.
The campus, spread over about 3.2 acres, houses modern infrastructure: well‑equipped laboratories (including HPLC, dissolution test apparatus), a spacious library with thousands of books and dozens of national/international journals, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, sports and cultural amenities, transportation services from various nearby towns, and other student support services. Dr. J. N. Suresh Kumar is the Principal of NIPS; he holds an M.Pharm and Ph.D, and has over 21 years of experience in academia and administration.
