Growing awareness about dental health across both rural and urban India has significantly increased the demand for advanced dental facilities and skilled professionals.
Recognizing this need, a group of dynamic professionals from diverse backgrounds headed by the founder Chairman Shri Prakash Davara came together with a shared vision: to contribute meaningfully to dental education and healthcare.
This vision led to the establishment of Barfani Academia, and laid the foundation for a premier dental institution in Bilaspur.
Soon after the New Horizon Dental College and Research Institute (NHDCRI) was set up in the outskirts of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
Designed as a state-of-the-art facility, NHDCRI was the first dedicated dental institute in the region, committed to delivering excellence in education, patient care, and research.
In 2006, the Government of India approved the institute to offer the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, marking the beginning of its journey in training competent dental surgeons.
The college was officially inaugurated by Dr. Raman Singh then Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, with Dr. Anil Kohli, then President of the Dental Council of India, as the Guest of Honour.
Since its inception, the dedicated faculty and support staff at NHDCRI have remained steadfast in their mission to improve oral healthcare and empower the next generation of dental professionals.
