The Institute of Pharmacy at Nirma University, located on the Sarkhej–Gandhinagar Highway in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), was established in 2003 with the mission of “developing able professionals in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.” Over the years it has grown into a full-fledged pharmacy school offering undergraduate (B.Pharm), postgraduate (M.Pharm), doctoral (PhD) and post-doctoral programmes. The B.Pharm programme is a 4-year (8 semester) course approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) with an intake of 100 seats (85 via ACPC and 15 NRI/NRI-sponsored) and has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institute is part of Nirma University’s focus on research and industry alignment. Key features include modern laboratories, a medicinal plant garden, a machine room for manufacturing/testing equipment, and adoption of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for enhanced employability.
