Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government (Autonomous) Ayurveda College & Institute, Bhopal is a prominent Ayurvedic education and healthcare institution in Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1995 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in honour of the distinguished Ayurvedic physician Pt. Khushilal Sharma (father of former President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma), the college is located in the Nehru Nagar / Chuna Bhatti area, Science Hills, Bhopal. Set on a sprawling 50-acre verdant plateau, the campus includes academic buildings, hospital facilities, separate hostels for girls and boys, and a five‑acre herbal garden with about 260 species of medicinal plants under the Department of Dravyaguna.Academically, the institute offers undergraduate (BAMS) courses, postgraduate MD/MS Ayurvedic specialisations in many departments (such as Swasthavritta, Dravyaguna, Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, Roga Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan, Panchakarma, Rachana Sharir etc.), diploma programmes (such as in Ayurvedic Pharmacy), and even PhD research. The library is well‑stocked with approximately 12,400 books covering Ayurveda and modern medicine. Economically weaker students have access to a textbook book bank.
