About School Of Pharmacy Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Deemed University Yanam, Pondicherry

School of Pharmacy, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Pondicherry campus, established in 2019, is committed to shaping future-ready professionals in pharmaceutical sciences. In addition to its PCI-approved B.Pharm program (intake: 60) with lateral entry, the institution broadened its academic offerings in 2025 with new programs approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. These include the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD, 6 years, intake: 30), focused on clinical pharmacy, therapeutic drug monitoring, and patient-centered care; the PharmD Post Baccalaureate (3 years, intake: 10), designed for B.Pharm graduates to advance into hospital and clinical pharmacy practice; and the Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacy Practice (intake: 15), strengthening competencies in patient counseling, pharmacovigilance, drug safety, and applied research. These newly launched programs further strengthen SBV’s role as a center of excellence in pharmacy education, preparing graduates to meet the growing demands of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors both in India and globally.
