The Shivalik Institute of Nursing is a Prestigious Nursing Institution of Northern India. Established in 2009 by the Shivalik Education Welfare Society, the institution is located in the scenic and serene hills of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh University, it is the only private nursing institution attached to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGNC) hospital, the apex health institution of the state. It has been maintaining high standard of education and providing best possible clinical training to the nursing students at oldest and best government medical college hospital of the state.
College has experienced well-qualified and dedicated faculty and other staff. Housed in a multi-storeyed building, the college has smart classrooms with multimedia projectors, well-equipped laboratories &a rich library, a spacious auditorium for organizing seminars, educational and cultural activities. It also has a playground for sports activities. The institution has an excellent academic record and its students have been bagging maximum positions in the merit list. The institute also extends financial assistance to deserving students who are economically less fortunate.
