Shova Rani Nursing College was initially established in 2005 with an entering capacity of 50 students. Since its inception, the college has demonstrated a commitment to rigorous standards. Its B.Sc. Nursing program is duly approved by The Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, and affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). Due to its success and growing demand, the student intake capacity for the B.Sc. program has since increased to 80.
Expanding its offerings, the college launched its Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing program in September 2020. This program, which accommodates 30 students, also holds the necessary approvals from the INC and affiliation with WBUHS. The institution focuses on equipping its students with comprehensive, internationally-standardized training, consistently promoting competency-based nursing education and skill development. Currently, the college operates at full capacity, successfully educating 305 students across its programs.
The college is an initiative of the KPC Group, a global conglomerate founded by Mr. Kali Pradip Chaudhuri, who serves as the Founder Chairman.

This dedication was the primary driving force behind the establishment of the KPC Medical College and Hospital, one of West Bengal's leading private medical and nursing institutions, and subsequently, Shova Rani Nursing College.
