Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa (SSMC), established in 1963, is one of the older and more reputed government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The college is named after Shyam Shah Singh, a freedom fighter from the region. It is affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (formerly tied to Awadhesh Pratap Singh University) and recognised by the National Medical Commission.
