About Smt. Urmila Devi Ayurvedic College of Medical Sciences & Hospital Hoshiarpur, Punjab

Established in 2002 by the Smt. Urmila Devi Charitable Society, Smt. Urmila Devi Ayurvedic College of Medical Sciences & Hospital is a private, self-financing Ayurvedic institution located at VPO Kharkan, on the Hoshiarpur–Una Highway, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab.  The college is affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur and recognised by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (and Ministry of AYUSH) for offering the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) programme. 
The institution is built on a campus that spans roughly ten acres, and is supported by a teaching hospital with over 100 beds, multiple departmental OPDs and a modern diagnostics and treatment facility including Panchakarma, Shalya-Tantra, Shalakya, KaumarBhritya, Stri–Prasuti and general Kaya Chikitsa services. In addition to academic classrooms and laboratories, the college provides separate hostels for male and female students, a library with a substantial collection of Ayurveda and allied science volumes, sports and gym facilities, and other student-amenity infrastructure. 
As an institution, the college emphasises blending traditional Ayurvedic teachings with modern medical education standards—its mission centres on producing skilled Ayurvedic physicians who can serve both society and research domains.
