Sneha College & School of Nursing is founded on the belief that humanity is created in God's image, making every individual unique, intrinsically worthy, and deserving of respect. A person's ultimate happiness lies in communion with their creator, and their health and wholeness are achieved by addressing their essential physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs.
Nursing is defined as a service devoted to holistic care and nurturing. It involves assisting individuals, families, and communities everywhere to promote health, prevent illness, restore wellness, and relieve suffering. Crucially, the nurses trained here are specifically imbued with a spirit of divine compassion for providing healthcare to the needy, especially the poor and the "lost."
The basic nursing curriculum is designed to qualify nurses for initial-level professional practice in diverse hospital and community environments. Education is a developmental process that fosters behavioral change through the acquisition of knowledge. This process is most successful when it promotes intellectual inquiry, self-direction, creativity, maturity, responsibility, and self-awareness.
Shared Responsibility for Learning
Learning is a joint venture. The faculty directs, selects, and evaluates learning opportunities that advance the students' intellectual and personal development. Students are expected to be active participants, taking responsibility for recognizing their learning requirements and engaging fully in all educational and evaluative activities.
