VDMC Trust is the official wing of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Eluru, established in the year 2000 to undertake health care and health education projects in the Diocese of Eluru.
The founder chairman of the Trust was Late His Excellency Most Rev. John Mulagada, under whose direction and patronage the St. Joseph Dental College & Hospital was started.
The main motive behind establishing this institute is to cater for the needs of the students from underprivileged, marginalised and most neglected social sections.
Ever since the inception of this institute, owing to its commitment, the institute has been extending its services and supportive hand to the poor students by offering dental education free and with concession to a certain group of children without any prejudice to caste, colour, race and religion.
The organisation was registered under the Indian Trust Act.V.D.M.C Trust had started a Dental College, and Nursing College in the close vicinity of the headquarters of the Diocese of Eluru in a village called Duggirala, located at a distance of 5 Km from the Diocese Headquarters.
It is the first venture for the Trust aimed at providing Health services besides imparting Dental and Nursing education.
