The Dale View College of Pharmacy & Research Centre (DVCPRC), though formally established as a pharmacy college later, traces its foundational inspiration to a deep commitment to social reform that began in 1978. The institution emanated from the dream of its Chairman, C. Christu Das, who was deeply moved by the "awful conditions" of professional education in Punalal, a remote village in Kerala. Registered as a Secular, Non-Governmental, and Voluntary Organization, DVCPRC's inception was a direct response to uplifting the local community. The founder's vision was not merely academic, but humanitarian: to shatter the "fetters of enslavement," free people from "dehumanizing conditions," and lead them to a "new world of hope and beauty." By encouraging a participatory development process and relying on its dedicated staff, the college has profoundly impacted the social fabric of the region, empowering millions to sculpt their own destiny and transforming their attitudes and living conditions.
