Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College is a respected Ayurvedic medical college in Thrissur, Kerala, founded on 2 October 1976 by the late Ashtavaidyan E.T. Neelakandan Mooss.It operates under the management of the Vaidyaratnam Ayurvedic Educational Society, registered as a charitable society. The college is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Council for Indian System of Medicines (NCISM) (formerly CCIM).It offers a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) programme with a duration of 5½ years including internship. Also, there is a postgraduate programme (MD / Ayurveda Vachaspati) in Kayachikitsa with limited seats. The campus is well‐equipped, with academic and administrative blocks, separate hostels for men and women, an herbal garden, and facilities for sports and games.There is also an attached hospital complex offering around 150 in‐patient beds, along with diagnostic and clinical services including X‐ray, ultrasound, biochemistry laboratories etc.
