The foundation for Vivek University was laid in 2003 when the Shivika Educational Society established Vivek College. Initially starting with a B.Ed. college, the institution was focused on meeting the demand for quality education. Over the subsequent years, the college significantly expanded its academic portfolio, continually adding new programs in diverse fields such as Management, Commerce, Science, Law, Ayurveda, Pharmacy, Para-Medical, and Nursing.
By 2024, this foundational college had evolved into a major academic entity. Vivek College was officially granted the prestigious status of Vivek University (State Private University) by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, as per Act No. 21 of 2024, dated 06/12/2024. This new university status was further reinforced by the UGC (University Grants Commission) approval under Section 2(f).
The university campus is spread across 100 acres, boasting a lush, green, and tranquil environment, located near the holy River Ganges. It is conveniently situated on the Bijnor-Moradabad State Highway in Uttar Pradesh. Today, Vivek University holds a distinguished position as the first and sole University in the Bijnor District, establishing itself as one of the leading educational institutions across the entire state of Uttar Pradesh.
