About MSc Nursing

As it is a postgraduate two year program, one has to qualify an annual exam at the completion of every session. Clinical hands-on experience is incorporated along with theoretical teaching in the respective specialties. At the partial fulfillment of course candidates have to submit a dissertation.

Master of Science (Nursing) is a postgraduate degree of two academic years. A graduate in Nursing is only eligible to pursue a postgraduate Nursing course.
It is mainly a full time course curriculum, but few of the foreign Universities provide distance learning courses too while Indian Universities doesn’t provide distance learning programs for this particular sector.

Gynecological Nursing, Anatomy, Psychology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition, Child Health Nursing, Community Health, Family Welfare, and Surgical Nursing are some of the basic and mandatory subjects included in the teaching curriculum.

Medical Surgical Nursing , Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing are some of the offered specializations for Nursing.

MSc Nursing Course Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility for MSc Nursing Course:

• A bachelor degree holder in Nursing is eligible to enroll for this course.
• Universities generally have the criteria of an entrance exam.
• One has to secure a minimum 45% aggregate which can vary depending upon the criteria of University.
